3. Colourful music
Some people associate music with colours. In fact, this is the case with a lot of people! Even in different cultures, the same colour nuances are often linked to certain types of music.
Palmer and colleagues investigated this in 2013 with research participants from both the United States and Mexico, and they concluded that, in general, people pair dark colours with gloomy pieces of music, and bright cheerful colours with joyful music. The scientists also found that these associations were due to the emotional charge of the pieces of music. Emotion does indeed have a color, and every emotion also has a melody!
